Joe Walker Tribute.wmv

Back in the 1960's movie studios from around the world were figuring out that they could make money by referencing or copying ideas that had come before. James Bond movies had made a lot of money to that point, and European film studios wanted to "Cash In" on supposed box office receipts that Western Studios and Movie companies were getting rich off of. So one German studio set off to make Spy films based on a magazine of the day that itself was based on a series of books called "Kommissar X" which basically means Police Commissioner, The. cast in these movies was a German Italian former model named Tony Kendall, and an American bodybuilder/stuntman/actor named Brad Harris. These two were put together early on and became fast friends. The decision to cast them in the Kommissar films was made quickly. They would play the worlds most expensive Private detective named Joe Walker, who was an inveterate womanizer, and his best friend, NY City Police Captain Tom Rowland, who would! forever be on special assignment in Europe, somehow having police powers in a land where even the officials that be probably never heard of Central Park. The two men were buddies in the truest meaning of the word. They seemed to tolerate the others mannerisms as if they had been childhood friends. Joe Walker seemingly can seduce any woman that enters his view by tugging on his right earlobe and then kissing the poor girl right on the mouth. It's silly, but believable somehow and he gets away with it ...
